LIRR Port Washington Branch

Hello Everyone,

I have a family member that uses the LIRR Port Washington Branch, What freq with pl's should I be monitoring for that branch of the LIRR. Looking for MTA Police, LIRR Operations and any other train freqs that would be useful for that area. Thanks in advance.

Here are the most important frequencies you'll need. Unfortunately, none are specific to the Port Washington branch, so you'll hear lots of other activity on the LIRR. PLs are either not used or not necessary for these frequencies.

160.455 MTA PD - LIRR
160.38 LIRR towers (listen for "Section A" which controls the PW branch)
161.445 LIRR movement bureau ("204")

There are additional LIRR frequencies here, but you generally won't hear much of interest on them. If anyone knows of of any other frequencies of interest, I'm sure they'll pipe up.
