airnav isnt a bad source also
If you ;live near the border of another state I would program the frequencies closest to your state border. You'd be surprised on what you hear. Like I said I live in Northern NJ and can hear 90% of the NY ATCC frequencies

Use the map link below
From your location form a 200 mile radius [start a circle]
Search the (excellent) R.R. database for the ARTCC Centers & look for the RCAG's within that circle
Plug in the corresponding frequencies and listen away
Typically, you will have to be within ~10 miles and in line of sight of an RCAG to hear ATC side

Thank you for the link. I found some freqs that I am listening to .
Oh... light reading!
KampingAnthony1AolCo,
Just curious if you are still hearing any traffic on 135.550 and 135.075 ? Trying to confirm those sectors, if you happen to hear anything you can make out can you post here, flight number, altitude, and I can match it to a confirmed sector.
FYI the Chicago Center airspace directly overhead the Peoria area extends as follows
119.225 from 10,000 feet to FL230 (23,000 feet)
132.225 from FL240 to FL330
134.325 from FL340 and above

I listened to 135.075 today and couldnt fiqure out what they were saying to help comfirm a sector.
Thanks for trying. Actually after further checking I now see 135.075 is listed as a Chicago Approach frequency, used to be the west feeder sector. And it's covered over on LiveATC as well where they list it as the northwest feeder sector, which I believe is now correct. It's not listed in either the Radio Reference database or on the AirNav website.
You might be able to confirm this better by listening to the handoffs to Chicago Approach from the respective Chicago Center frequencies as the traffic will be higher. Arriving from the southwest, overhead your location, you should hear ORD arrivals on 135.150. And for ORD arrivals from the northwest they will be on 133.350. Both these frequencies will handoff to Chicago Approach, but the actual Approach frequency could vary depending on the time of day and sector configurations and runways in use.
