I live in zip code 35007. Is there a way to listen to the paramedics? I hear the FD say that transport RPS (Regional Paramedical Services) is in route to hospital and I'd like to hear them. I found RPS in the database with lots of frequencies. Do they use them or are they on something else?
Is there a way to hear the ambulance to hospital conversation?
Thanks

Ambulance to hospital communication in the B’ham metro area is predominantly done by phone. RPS mostly uses FirstNet push to talk for their communications, the frequencies you see in the database are used occasionally when FirstNet service is poor or for other reasons, and for RAMS (air transport).

So RPS uses push to talk over LTE? I know many used to use southern linc. What about Haynes, CARE, or the service in Tuscaloosa?

Not sure about dispatch, but all ambulance-to-hospital communication is done via cellphone in Tuscaloosa. DCH does maintain a radio with the HEAR system programmed, but it is never used.
