Hello,

I am going to be getting another scanner here very shortly and I am just curious if I could get a list of scanners that will be capable of getting the MARCS system on it. I just want to get the best for what I want to spend. ($250 - $400). If you could let me know, that would be awesome!

Thank you,

JD

If you want to listen to MARCS only, and a couple other things I would recommend a PRO-2096/PRO-96 in terms of a costs vs. features. If you walk around to various Radio Shack stores, there are some out there that are trying to get rid of them at clearance prices (~$250) which is a good deal, especially considering you have instant gratification, don't have to pay for shipping, and some stores may be able to program it for you (although odds are you will want to reprogram it to suit your needs, ESPECIALLY with MARCS). If you live near urban areas, it may not be the greatest investment as there may be other systems you would want to listen to that the 2096 or pro-96 do not cover the various types that the newer digital scanners can, but considering you can pick one up at the price of most triple trunking, non-digital scanners, it is a great way to start listening to MARCS.
