Is it safe to use my Pro97 with AA Lithiums? I might be away from a charger for several days (and catching a couple of flights), so I was thinking about a decent source of power.

I normally use AA Energizer Ultimate Lithiums (were E2 lithiums) and have been for awhile now in all of my handhelds with no problems. They by far outlast any other type of battery I have ever used. They do cost but you pay for what you get.

Alright, I was thinking either Ultimate or Advanced Lithiums, since I'm guessing that I'll get at least some 24 hours with the backlight on and trunking on (I need about 2-3 days of use).

I use them in my cameras, and a few other things (emergency flashlight in the car, etc.)
They are cheapest at Walmart in the 8 pack.

EDIT:
Leave it to marketing;
They used to be labeled 7X life, now they are labeled 8X life, but they also make some 4X life.
Don't bother with the 4X ones.
