10/07 ~ Around 09:00 Control One dispatched Littleton, Englewood & South Metro Firefighters to a possible structure fire at 17 Niblick Lane in Columbine Valley. First due Engine 13 found a 2,400 sq ft ranch style – with basement, single family dwelling with nothing showing. While conducting a 360 smoke was visible from the charlie side. The crew from 13 with Medic 11 advanced an 1 3/4 line for quick attack. Upon entry through the alpha side front door heavy smoke was encountered. Squrt 12 laid a supply line and a back up line was pulled & charged. Companies reported heavy smoke conditions throughout the house with heat in the basement. Squrt 23 & Engine 21 assisted with searches and Engine 38 stood by for RIT. A small fire was located in the basement and quickly knocked. All searches proved negative and no injuries were reported.
