Based on listener feedback I have made some minor changes to my dedicated feeds.

1. Denver Fire & EMS
http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn

2. Denver area DTRS
http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn2
Currently Police, Fire and EMS but I am considering dedicating a feed just to CSP and another just to metro Fire & EMS.

3. Lakewood / West Metro
http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn3
West Metro, Golden, Arvada, Wheat Ridge Fire and EMS

4. Aurora
http://www.live365.com/stations/jimmnn4
City of Aurora Fire and EMS

Requests comments and suggestions are always welcome.

Nice change!!!!

Jim, like the addition of Aurora. Although I was a little surprised how slow it seems. I really thought there would be more traffic.

Half the size of Denver and you can certainly tell at times.

Remember also this is just EMS and FD no police traffic.

Is there any way I can program this system into my PRO-95? I thought aurora was unscannable?

Aurora fire and ems are analog and have been for a long time.

But you won't receive from Clear Creek County.

Which system in the data base do I need to program? I spend some time in the metro area, and would like to have them programmed as well.

Scott

EDACS as has been posted before many times on this forum.

Comment for fine tuning.

Jim,
Like the idea of spliting up the Denver area DTRS. Just my 2 cents!!

I would very much like to see the CSP as a feed. Thanks for considering doing it.

Thanks for the feedback folks.

I agree too that DTRS is too overwhelming in the metro area and needs to be split up.

Was thinking of feeding FD/EMS North Metro, South Metro, Cunningham, Parker, Castle Rock, Adams County depts, Jefferson County depts, Douglas County volly depts on one feed and then CSP metro area troops on another.

That would leave out the police agencies which I know many like to listen too, unless someone else is willing to step to the plate and feed some DTRS.??

Thanks Luke and setting up is not a problem, but I have found you will probably need a dedicated computer for the feed, although it can be pretty old and does not need to be very powerful.

One thing I'd like to note listening to Aurora FD/EMS is that there is a lot less non-emergency chatter than on other area FD channels, such as Littleton. Do they ask routine questions on the MDT? I never hear the fire units go en route unless they say their designator and then say my MDT is down.

Luke, if you would be interested in using windows media encoder which is free by the way and since all windows operating systems already have windows media player - there is no need for listeners to download or configure anything, it is all built in already... you can click on this link for a brief tutorial I setup which should assist you greatly.

The main thing is to have a patch cord from your scanner to a "line in" plug on your sound card of your computer for it to sound good and clear.

If you have any questions, feel free to email me.

Yes enroute, arrival and discussion is via MDC, unless they are down which they often are.

Having AFD on line is great! I especially like listening to fire/ems traffic without the PD. Along that line...Is it your intention to keep PD traffic on your Denver "Fire & EMS" feed?

And when I'm in the mood for PD, I prefer CSP, so you have my one vote for a separate CSP feed too.

Thanks for the fine work, jimmnn. Living in ProVoice San Antonio (virtually all of it digital), on line listening is a major part of the hobby now (for me).

I am only scanning 1 pd dist in Denver, Dist 6 downtown because I like it on weekends. But with Bill's excellent DPD feed I might consider dropping it.

OK thanks.

I have set up a live feed from up here in Larimer county. I'm kind of testing right now so I'd be curious how it is working for people:

http://216.17.156.10:8080/stream.htm

Right now I have it set up monitoring the DTRS tower on PVH open and Larimer county sheriff.

Your going to get a lot of school bus traffic monitoring PVH open, why not scan Horsetooth or Bald closed, those sites are much busier?

I have restricted it down to PFA channels, Loveland fire/ems, weld fd, weld ems, and ft collins pd. It was getting real noisy this afternoon with PVH open.
