Don, add this TG as well: UnivCity PubWrks TG= 00-144 and there are several more I still have hits on.
It's been since March 2012 that this 10 channel system was split in half (LCN 1~5 P25 & 6-10 EDACS)
I expect any month now that this old EDACS TRS will be disolved and it's 5 valuable ESN's be migrated
and converted to be added to the LCRA's P25 Live Oak site TRS. How 6 cities are getting by on only
4 voice channels is amazing. I could see in high system loads many low priority users getting denials !
Does anybody else think it's just a matter of months before this system is disolved ?
The Univ City Public Works EDACS TG is the only dept that I have yet to hear on the Live Oak P25 site.
Maybe they don't have the money or the new digital radios in place yet to migrate like everybody else ?

Hi Mike. I knew of the UC PW tg. I just haven't heard it yet. I am guessing that the Live Oak system is still on the air is so if the p25 system goes down they can switch back to the old system. I know that New Braunfels still uses the Live Oak system to fill in a deadspot when they come to SA.

Heard UC PW on tg 116 today. Converse Fire is still patched to tg 182. It looks like the old Live Oak system is used for interop. Fireground tgs are still patched to the system.

I still say that the days are numbers for the old Live Oak EDACS TRS ... maybe months or 2 years ?
When all migrate to P25 along with NB, I think we will see the Live Oak P25 TRS have all ten LCN's

Speaking of activity on the Live Oak EDACS TRS ... there is a SWAT operation going on now
that has some P25 TRS TG patches going over to Metro Ops on the old Live Oak EDACS TRS.

Area Metro Ops Group 00-090 ( This one was patched to P25 TG # 12029 )
Area Metro SWAT Group 01-027 ( This one was patched to P25 TG # 12036 )
Area PD Pursuit Group 01-030 ( This one was not used tonight TG# 12037 )

Also several times this morning and right now I am hearing Live Oak / Selma PD-1 on TG# 01-042
on the old Live Oak EDACS TRS patched from the P25 TRS. This TG is fairly random on analog TRS
with Schertz PD-1 and UnivCity PW TG's being constant with traffic.

Is the Live Oak EDACS TRS part of the LCRA EDACS Network ?

So I was monitoring today ... go figure that ;) And sitting on the old Live Oak EDACS TRS wildcard TG
when I saw TG#707 (05-083) A Hays ISD HHS Hays CISD - Hays HS Schools appear several times.
I saw that the Live Oak EDACS CC indicates Site # 20 (Q:Since the split 3/2012 has it always been 20?)
If this site is now a site on the LCRA EDACS TRS, then why does LCRA-Georgetown also show S#20 ?
Maybe they can enable patches to handle Hays ISD bus radio traffic if they are in town for an event ?

Ha, and here I thought once Univ City Public Works Dept got new P25 radios that they would fold up
these 5 valuable 800 freqs and migrate them over to the Live Oak P25 TRS so it has more than 4 VC's ?

I think the Live Oak site is part of the LCRA 900 MHz system. It shares a system Id of the 900 MHz system I have been running pro96com on the P25 side.

Hmm, well if that is so, then perhaps someone in or traveling through Georgetown, TX can verify
that site ID ? ( maybe it's not S#20 anymore ?) Out of curiousity what was Live Oaks old EDACS
site # before last years March 2012 split ? So Don what is the Live Oak EDACS Sys ID ?

EDACS Control Channel Info - Revisited ;)

Don, a teaching moment is in order judging by your previous 2 posts concerning EDACS System ID's

The Live Oak site shows C07 S:20 SHA

Donald

So when your PC Screen reader program reads you this : C07 S:20 Hsa ( NOT SHA )

This is what it means as you sit on that control channel with TSYS Analyze on your PSR-500.

C07 = That the EDACS Control Channel is simply on LCN # 7 or position # 7 for that hour or day ( This CC LCN position often changes ).

S:20 = That the EDACS Control Channel is broadcasting as Site # 20 and nothing more.

Hsa = These info means " High Speed Access " ( kind of like the baud rate on a Motorola TRS )

I hope this information helps. You could use either Unitrunker or eTrunker programs to yield the EDACS TRS System ID .

Michael-SATX

ps ~ A GREat example of local EDACS TRS's that seem to constantly change CC positions are the SA/BC Blue and Gold TRS.
I just checked the Topperwein site that you can receive and it's CC is being broadcast on LCN # 4 ( LCN = Logical Channel Number )
Later tonight of tomorrow we could see and probably will see that sites CC rotate to another LCN position on the TRS.
The Blue and the Gold sites are famous for very often switching which LCN functions as the Control Channel on the site.

I tried using Unitrunker. I could not set it up using my screenreader. I will try eTrunker tomorrow.

Thanks
Donald
