looking for live broadcast of katrina disaster

does anyone know of this broadcast here?

It sounds way too quiet for a police or medical scanner but it is late at night i guess. They were commenting on some pretty wild things heard earlier today. I just want to know what exactly this is and from where.

That's the live LA scanner - there are a few people relaying it, since Dustin can only support 300-400 connections.

It sounds way too quiet for a police or medical scanner but it is late at night i guess.

That's why. That, and the system is being used professionally, not for chatter. (Although some of the NG units - Pelican comes immediately to mind - need a lot of additional training before I'd put them in the category of even a police or fire dispatcher trainee.)

It's Dustin Childers streaming the LA state TRS. You could join the Yahoo LiveScannerAudio group and ask him where he is, what he's using, etc.
