What is the max LMR400 cable length for a receive only setup in the 769-775MHz range? Right now I have 115’ but I need to add another 10-15’ to get my scanner antenna to the correct height. I’m currently using a DPD Productions 6dbi gain omni tuned for 769-775MHz P25 frequencies

Times Microwave LMR-400 (not ultra flex) is rated at 3.9db loss per 100' at 900MHz, so it would be a bit less at your range. At 115' you are still in the ballpark of 3.5db of loss. Adding 10-15 more feet isn't going to be huge, but still less than ideal, even more so if you are adding additional connectors.

Yeah I’ll be adding connectors. I just can’t justify buying another 125’ just to eliminate a connection point

thanks for the info
