I am using Lmr600 coax with uhf pl259 connectors, the problem is the threaded collar on the connector is fastened to the body of the connector via a brass c clip, the groove in the threaded portion is nearly invisible and the least bit of movement will dislodge the clip and allow the connector body to slide out of the connection. Have anybody had this problem and know of a manufacturer that makes a quality pl259 for lmr 600 coax. This coax and connectors came from Jefatech and they claim I must support the cable better. All cables are in conduit to a panel with lightening arrestors, should the connectors not be able to support themselves within a panel, never had this problem before with other cables. cheap connectors fail like that all the time. but they are correct in that the connector is not designed nor intended to support the coax. if they are installed in place and putting strain on the connector, you need to look into some sort of strain relief even if it is nothing more than cable ties to lift it slightly.

That goes for any connector, they should not support the weight of the coax which will eventually be damaged if they do. The best thing is make a service loop and support the coax under it. Not only will it take strain off but it gives you a bit of slack to work with.
