Local Network blocked

I use Win-10 and in the past have been able to "network" with a Win-7 laptop I have (I often back up to it). Since the last Win Update to the Win-7 laptop I can not get access to it from the Win-10 puter. Any thoughts? Settings or options on the Win-7 laptop? Win-10 sees it but can not access.
