Local Radio Stores in NYC or Long Island?

I've looked high and low in the yellow pages. Does anyone know if there are stores in NYC or Long Island (besides Radio Shack) that sell radio equipment (scanners, shortwave radios, antennae, etc)? Thanks in advance!

I'm amazed that there's no store selling scanners anywhere between eastern LI and northern Virginia. The closest one is in Mass, and it's cheaper to pay UPS than a round trip ferry fare.

There is HRO on the other side of NJ in New Castle, Delaware.

There's HRO 15 minutes down the road from here in Woodbridge, VA. According to the employees, HRO doesn't jump to get the latest scanners as soon as they come out, because they don't sell that many scanners. I usually get what i need there, but they don't have the 396 yet.
