If it is in the P25 system why are you on 47.460???? The scanner should show you are on the Albany/Schenectady system.

If the system is in your scanner from a DB import, you should just select Albany/Schenectady as the only system to monitor then select Guilderland TG from the imported list of Schools TGs. I am not sure about your scanner but the system site hold is selected with FUNCTION/DEPT on 436/536/SDS scanners. If it says Finding Ctrl Channel, the system is not properly programmed. Unless you see solid CC reception you will hear nothing.

I think you need to take time out to read your scanner manual. You apparently programmed the old 47.46 frequency as P25 with TG10974.
At this point it looks like the Guilderland TG is properly listed in the RRDB and should have been imported to the scanner so it should be just a case of selecting it as a "favorite" to monitor it.

I will check the manual, but I’m still very confused

If you still have problems tomorrow you can use the Conversations feature on the Forum to contact me for further help or go to the Forum on Uniden Programming. I think the RRDB info is correct so no reason to further tie up this Forum looking for an unknown frequency/TG.

Check the systems mentioned by K2HZ, perhaps one of the school bus talkgroups listed there is who you're looking for.
Unfortunately not there

Cant speak for the first two systems, but the Onevoice system has a bunch of active school bus talkgroups that are not identifiable. I Mean people submitted them to the database with out any supplying any knowledge of what school district they belong to or at the very least, what county. The bus company your looking for could be any one of talkgroups shown below on the Onevoice system.
Onevoice system does have a site in Albany County.

After reading this from last year, and it saying schools would be able to communicate with police, I would say the school itself would have access to a p25 system.

Guilderland police and schools get $346K in federal funds to enhance safety

To close out this thread - I worked off-line with the OP and resolved a programming issue. He says he is now receiving Guilderland Schools on the Albany/Schenectady system on the TG as listed in the RRDB. He says the scanner shows Site 6-1 and he is getting good reception.

Perhaps you ought to read the Database Admin Handbook before making a determination that the guidelines aren't being followed:

Entries in the database do not necessarily have to be specific with respect to their identification (although this is ideal) but they may not be completely unspecified. For example, a talkgroup on a business trunked system is considered “identified” if it is known to be “private security” or “ambulance service” (for example) even though the exact name of the business may remain unknown.

A talkgroup that has been identified as "school buses" meets this criteria.

Personally I believe this type of info would be better kept on its respective system's talkgroup wiki page until someone is able to identify the agency but it is what it is. I've already had to correct a few listed generic listed "school bus", "taxi", etc talkgroups erroneously listed under the wrong counties or regions in the DB but that's a topic for a whole 'nother thread so I'll leave it at that...
