Other then The Shack, I don't know any Tacoma area stores I can go get supplies, like a scanner antenna and scanners. Can anyone help me out? Maybe within 20 miles.
Anyone order from Universal Radio.com? From what I read they seem to be a trustworthy company.
It's been 6 or 7 months now and I'm ready for an aftermarket antenna from my Pro 164. I like this hobby and I don't think its long before I have a few scanners and some metal in the attic.

Nope, not much for local around here. HRO is down in Portland but it's a good 90 minute drive.

My best source has been Scanner Master - Police Scanners by Uniden Bearcat, AOR and Radio Shack.

They ship USPS Priority and are a bit faster than Universal - although they are a reliable company. Shipping times really bug me - I hate having to wait more than 3 days for anything to arrive.

EDIT: Check out DPD antennas. These work very well (I own 2 of their models.) http://www.dpdproductions.com/

For 800 you can't go wrong with Radio Shack's 800MHz antenna. It's great for 800, OK on UHF and bad for everything else.

I agree with Taco. The tuned 800 antenna the hack sells is excellent.
