Are you search holding or programmed as conventional? It is a control channel it passes data not audio.
set it up as a P25 site as control channel in a trunking system

WV SIRN: West Virginia Statewide Interoperable Radio Network Trunking System, Statewide, West Virginia that is the system i have it put in the same way as it is there. in sentinel from the database. on dsdplus i get static and i have heard traffic a couple times but it was just a few words . it shows group calls so idk when other channels have group calls there is always traffic

For reference, it looks like you are receiving the Mountain Top site in Mingo County on the WV SIRN system:
System: BEE00.170 (WV SIRN)
Site: 2.19 (Mountain Top - Mingo County, WV)
TG:4607 is listed as Mingo Co Sheriff Dispatch

Is your DSD+ console showing any errors? What is shown in the DSD+ Seen Groups window?

DSD+ has identified 453.8125 as a control channel, but this frequency is not shown as a control channel in the rrdb. How did you program the site in the sds100? Did you include all frequencies for the site, or only the control channels?

PS: I think you will find it beneficial to download the dsd formatted sites and groups files for WV SIRN from RRDB and paste them into the DSDPlus.sites and DSDPlus.groups files. (It won't solve your reception problem, but will help identify what you are receiving)

So i found this control channel

If you don't show all windows, it makes it harder for those trying to help you, to actually help you. The less info you give and show, the more questions people need to ask you which in the end, turns a simple question into a 3 page thread.

When posting pics or videos, show all relevant windows.

Since it is in West Virginia, you should be asking in that forum if anyone else is monitoring that site and what freqs are they using. Then have someone make a submission to the database since the data in the db is not reflecting all freqs being used..

Per the video you provided you're getting emissions noise which is usually an indicator that the signals aren't coming in as strong as you think. You'll need to go to INPUT (menu) > No source audio monitoring to turn off said emissions noise unless you're using it for troubleshooting. Yes, all relevant windows do help. What is your average ERR rate in the window I boxed in red?

Either focus in FMP24 and hit z, or add -z in your file that starts FMP24

-z<num> Show zoomed spectrum (0-1) [-z1]

Cause this is more informational

You may also want to try to see if you receive the Panther site. It appears to be closer to your location:
I programmed it into the sds100 using sentinel the same way it is in the database. here is a screenshot of all the windows.

I can't get the panther one i can't find a signal for it.

Channel Activity Window?

453.8125 (the CC) has a 12 db SNR. That is weak. Anything less than a 20 db SNR and you can expect errors, intermittent decodes. And one or more of the voice channels may be even weaker. Thus you aren't picking up traffic.

But please provide the Channel Activity window as it lists the control channels and voice channels seen.

In that screenshot the signal on the control channel -- 10db or less. That is not sufficient for good decode. Just look at the window where you can watch the decoding. CRC errors galore. That should be a clue right there that you just aren't getting a good signal. Don't expect much out of it.

Still the Channel Actvity window would be nice, because I would like to update the database with the correct control channels.

Here.

The signal is kinda low right now but it does change and it gets pretty strong at times.

Same answer as before. The signal is weak. 20 db+ is a good signal. Below that, you start getting errors, problems decoding. That signal is weak, especially when it tunes to the voice channel. Give it up. 20 db is two of those blue lines. You need the equivalent of two of those blue lines above the noise floor for a great decode. You have nothing.
