I've read and experimented both, plus I've set up Scan lists as suggested, but I be stupid some days and have gotten myself lost.
scenario - (PSR-500 -Wichita, Ks. Moto type II) I have a scan list with only Sheriffs on it, plus a private wildcard. While scanning only that list, I get lots of wildcard talk (great) but I don't want some of them, if they aren't the Sheriff. (Street dept. & EMS).
I also have a scan list that I put all known Talk group ID's in and then locked them out, and disabled this list, set the global TGRP ignore setting to YES.
MY question - While scanning Sheriff Scanlist, if an unknown Private id comes up, how do I save it so it can go to the "Keeper" or "Locked Out" list? OR if I REALLY DON'T want it, how do I just lock it out permanently?
I may be trying to do too much in one step.
