Wanted to forward a success story about a good dealer. While there are quite a few good places to deal with, one some of us may not know about is Logjam.

My wife purchased a 780 as a present to me. Had some problems that Uniden could not fix.

The good folks at Logjam Electronics sent me a 785D (less digital card) to replace my 780 with no hassles at all. First class people to trade with.

I bought a 785 from them a couple of months ago. Best price ($289) that I found when looking.

Sorry but I can't agree with the original poster in this thread. His wife's experience with Logjam may have been positive in 2004, but the Logjam Electronics from which I ordered a car-stereo part could not have been a bigger pain in the a**. They would not accept a brand-new, never used item in return for a refund. Logjam's advice to me: "Sell it on eBay." Thanks for nothing, Logjam. Be advised of a very strict return policy that is not consumer friendly. Or look for another dealer for Uniden or for whatever you're buying.

I think the operative phrase here is "Return Policy". This is why companies have written policy; so that there is no confusion or ambiguity as to their terms of sale. Sounds to me as if this is a company who has made their terms clear in ADVANCE. The choice then becomes the consumers whether they wish to purchase under such established TERMS of SALE.
