Lompoc Police Scanner App

I have an app "scanner" on my phone. I am not sure this is where I need to ask my question I am new at this. My question is the app I listen to has Santa Barbara County Sheriff, Fire, Aircraft adn Lompoc Police. I listen but never hear Lompoc Police. How can I get Lompoc Police to come through so I can listen to them. I know their city code is 54 but very seldom is it picked up. Please help I want to listen to them. I tried the paid version also but no luck.

Getting the paid version wouldn't have made a difference. A stream that's setup like that is scanning through all the channels you mentioned above so you will miss traffic depending on how many channels are active when scanning. Lucky for you, you only need an analog scanner as it seems almost everything is analog conventional near you. You can get a used analog scanner for under $100 on eBay. I would recommend the RadioShack Pro-97 or a Uniden BC125AT.
