I will be travelling to the London area this weekend (Komoka to be exact). I will be taking the 401 and 402 Hwys. Which OPP talk groups should I be listening to hear the calls in the area? I did look at the database and saw 1OPS09 Middlesex and 1HWY01 London Highway Units. Are one of those the correct one to monitor?

TG's?

Hypersight, I just like to let the scanner search and listen for the alpha designation for each county; 6'juliet' Middlesex.., 6'mike' Lambton, etc.... Don't forget Strathroy-Caradoc Police as well, close to Komoka. Enjoy.

If you are in Komoka, you will be picking up the Byron tower (site 18). You will want 1OPS09 (Middlesex), 1OPS04 (Elgin), 1OPS03 (ChathamKent) and 1HWY01. Typically OPS03, 04 and HWY01 are patched together. If you are coming from the Woodstock way, you should throw in 1OPS11 (Oxford) as well. EMS for the area will be on London East (basically from Woodstock'ish to London), London City 1, and London West (West side of London thru to about Glencoe).

Thanks for the replies gentlemen. Much appreciated info. Actually I grew up in London, but I haven't been there for years......when I moved from London, the OPP were still on the NOR system. Should be interesting listening this weekend!
Thanks again guys.
