London CACC Trunked freq??

Can anyone tell me what London/Middlesex freq. are for the trunk system they are testing for the MOH?
Secondly can anyone tell me how to program them into BC245XLT??? Can't even rember how to use the EMS radios and this thing is over my head!!!

Its easy to do dude.

Pick a bank that you want to use.

Pick the trunk style you need to enter VHF High.

Enter in the base freq and offset (dont know it off hand)

141.015, 380 and 15 I think.

Then enter in the towers you want to follow, I recommend you enter in the towers near you, i.e. London use London. If you travel you might want to enter in towers for areas you generally go.

On my 245 I have towers for the GTA as wll as towers along HWY 6 when I go up north Wiarton O.Sound and Dyers Bay for starters.

Let 'er rip and if there is activity you'll hear it.

Ok, I have no problem in putting in the normal freq. Its trying to get the trunking system to work. I've uploaded the AFS program whats the best way to work the trunking system that way. Seems easier just have to figure out which numbers to put where!

AFS is for EDACS, isn't it? You want VHF trunking.

To set this system up(which is E2 Hi on your radio) follow the
instructions on page 60 in the operating guide.
Select E2 Hi and press DATA
You will have to change the default base freq. to 141.015
as Eric mentioned.
Press DATA and enter 15.0
If your site freq.'s are entered press SEARCH and you should
start trunking.

I think you guys might be on to something, Its worked out so far, but alas its a quiet day on the EMS radio so I'll have to wait and see what I get. You'll be the first to know if it works or not!! Thanks for all the help and making it understandable!

Fire: I have a file on my computer @ home with all the frequs and t/g's for the OPP Zone 1.

If you have the bearcat software you can post it and download it to your scanner. Its real easy, I was taught by experts!

Ok I tried what you guys told me, and did not recieve a single thing all night our old scanner picked up everything (except trunk channels) but not a word at all out of the new one. Im gussing that I need to enter other towers? If I get that list of the OPP from you will it have the towers I need to track to pick up the trunking of the EMS freq?
And is it supposed to be this hard or am I just missing something?

Dude, I can help you out. i can give you the entire Fleetnet Zone 1 system with all towers and talk groups.

Let me know via email if u want it, all you need is the Bearcat software, easily optained and prob included with your radio.

Also, I noticed that unless you are close enough to a tower you wont be able to do anything. Your radio should stop on the control channel(s) (without noise) with the volume indicator showing on the side. If you are 2 far from the tower then move around till you are close.

If you have programmed correctly, the display should appear like this:

(that means it has found a control channel)

Numbers will appear when the voice freq. are in use.

I do have a good frequency list with all the OPP Zone 1 towers, frequs and t/g's that will help.

Perhaps this guys problem is that he is far away from a tower.

Fireraine: Are you in the city? Or just nearby? You want to be monitoring the frequencies for Site 18, which are: 141.4200 142.1850 142.3650 142.4850 142.6650 142.8750. If you have those punched in, the bank set to VHF Motorola trunking (using the setup info EJB posted) you should be good to go. There should be sporadic MTO traffic and a fair amout of EMS traffic (talkgroup 35280 - London City 1). You should also hear lots of digital junk from the OPP. I don't believe the 245 ignores these on it's own, so you will have to lock those talkgroups out. As long as you are close to or in the city, those frequencies will do you fine. I listen to the London site anywhere from Strathroy to Ingersoll & to St. Thomas, so coverage shouldn't be an issue.

I'm right in the city, those codes should help... I can't remember what I have entered. Might be the old ones so I'm only picking up the initial dispatched but no communications after that. I'm at work until Sunday night so I'll have to wait until then to try some of those suggestions.

The family and I took a drive along the 403 then HWY 2 to London.

On the way I heard plenty of OPP stuff but London city MOH 5-10 miles out of the city.

Shouldbe able to snag it anywhere I guess.
