Hello, I am getting nothing for London EMS (Byron) on my BCD396T. If I set it as a conventional system I can hear stuff on the various frequencies but obviously its not right without the trunk setup. (As well as the control channel is just garbage noise) Has something changed for London EMS that it no longer works?

I did have the same settings working years ago but now something is off.

The control channel is supposed to be noisy - you're hearing data. Are you programming by hand or computer?

There's a nice guide here if you're going by hand. Make sure you've done the band plan portion correctly. Programming your Uniden 396XT etc for Bell Fleetnet

So I had this programmed ages ago using the computer and downloading the Data. This was working great and I abandoned the hobby for a while. Now coming back, it's still programmed but nothing comes through at all. I did not change a thing.

I have since lost the cable to connect the computer, so I followed the guide to reset it all up by hand and get the same result.
When setting it up as a trunked system, nothing comes through. When it's conventional with just the frequencies I do get stuff and it is the channels I want but they are not assigned and setup correctly. I wonder if something has changed with London EMS settings?

If something had changed with London EMS there would be more members around London concerned about not hearing them. No one else has reported any issues.

It sounds as if you need someone to guide you through Moto Type II trunk tracking with Custom Tables.

Try reloading the system from a new source. You should be able to get EMS and OPP for now. Nothing has changed on the towers.

It's odd though that the old programming that worked for years for me now doesn't. Something has to have changed since that time or it would still be working.

I followed that guide to try and setup a new system and see if it worked. Again I got nothing after it was setup. The only difference is I don't have the option to put in the upper on the band.

So odd... everything looks to be set right and nothing in the current frequencies look any different than what is already setup that previously worked. But again nothing comes through.

I can show screen shots of my FreeScan set up for Britannia, which is very similar to Byron, frequency wise. Plus, I'll show the trunk set up page

Make sure you have the scanner in ID SEARCH, so it will pick up everything. How many bars of signal do you see on the tower?
FYI, I get London North from London CACC off of Primrose tower, so they are still around.
