The more hi-tech, the more crappier the system becomes. Love that encryption scheme...

The problem here is really a combination of coverage dead spots in rural areas and a lack of voice carriers at these lower use sites. Its a problem of trunking in general (i.e weighing up capacity against users) and encryption doesn't really come into it this time.

Any idea who the manufacturer is, and how the location is determined (triangulation, GPS, guess?)
