Long squelch tail on 138-145mhz am MIL AIR PRO 197

Hey all,
I am getting a long squelch tail on VHF mil air 138-145mhz AM mode on my PRO 197. I have to turn the squelch knob past half way to get rid of it.That in turn kills my sensivity on all my other conventional freqs. Is ther any thing i can do to get rid of this long tail??

You can try changing the RF SQ Fade parameter in the expert settings. The default is only 10mS though, so it's not going to make a large difference.
