I am on the 4th floor of a six-story building, my balcony faces North, I can see east and west also. I was going to try and string a new Long-wire antenna. in a big square.
13 feet across the top of the balcony x13 feet across the bottom
8 Feet down one wall and 8 feet down the other wall.
42 feet of wire
Should I get a balun and hang it in the middle of the top of the balcony in the middle at 6-1/2 feet and run 21 feet of wire on the left terminal and the other 21 feet of wire on the right terminal.
What kind of balun do I use ???,
I cannot have any wire hanging over the balcony, not an option.
Do I go around the balcony more than once to string more wire, I would like the antenna to work as good as possible over all the bands if this is possible.
It would be a big square when finished facing north or is there a better way for me to do this. any suggestion appreciated.
Is there a wire antenna I can buy that would work better in my confined space.
