We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

Hello Everyone,

I live in a townhouse that does not allow permanent outside additions to the house. I am hoping to find an antenna that I can put outside of a 2nd story window to use while listening to my scanner and then bring it inside while not in use. Kind of a temporary setup. Does anyone have any suggestions of a good antenna to use. I like to monitor the air frequencies and also some police, fire and rescue as well. So a wide range of frequencies. Also, any suggestions on an easy installation would be appreciated as well. I am not real creative or knowledgable with this type of thing. Thanks for any help.
