I know this is something that on Broadcastify is prohibited from being streamed, so I’m looking to anyone who may possibly have it recorded on their own device. I’m looking for a patch that would have occurred on TAC 2 in the London Middlesex area. Date was October 5th, 2021. Unit calling in on the patch would be 36248. Time of patch would be 12:58-12:59ish.

If anyone has that patch, could they please send it to me in a PM. The patient in question was my grandmother, and unfortunately she didn’t make it. For closure for myself, I need to be able to hear what the patient report was. I know I could probably ask the Ministry of Health for the official recording, but I know the community here is really good, and hopefully someone, somewhere, has a local copy of that clip that they could maybe send me in a private message. It would mean a lot to me.

@hotpocket - I am sorry for your loss. It is very tough to accept when it happens but know there is a community both here and in the real world for you.

I too am sorry about your loss. I am not going to start a streaming/don't stream argument. Look up the laws concerning repeating what you hear on a scanner or other device (not live listening).

A private individual releasing such a recording should one exist could find themselves in a heap of hot water. Not to mention liability should they be called as a witness etc.

My advice is simple do as you thought. Contact the Ministry of Health and have solid reasons for your request. Also have documents authorizing you to act on the part of the deceased. This document needs to predate the incident you are asking about.

I do not want to read into your request any ulterior motives but you should be aware that it is exactly this type of request that is used to justify the use of encryption (in my opinion).

I appreciate your input, and your advice. As far as the document predating this incident is concerned, that probably isn’t possible, so I guess its just something I’ll have to do without.

I can definitely see your point about this possibly justifying encryption, and I’m right there with you, that's the last thing I want. I don’t want to ruin this hobby for the rest of you guys any further than it already has been by the implementation of encryption.

Thank you for your thoughts as it is something I had not previously considered :)

Your best bet would be to have the Power of Attorney for your grandmother submit a Freedom of Information request to London Ambulance Dispatch.
With FleetNet2, every single talkgroup will be encrypted on OPP and EMS including BEAT repeaters and vehicle repeaters.
