Have you looked in the database here on RR for the DNR? Load up the frequencies near where you live and listen. I have them in multiple scanners with any freqs within a two county range.

I realize in different parts of the state Nextel my be used but I do know for now in the August (CSRA) area the DNR still uses vhf radio.

GA DNR / Gordon County - Found DNR

http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?cs=WPKV308

One of the ways I find Georgia frequencies....

Once you click on a county in GA, look to the upper part of the page and click on FCC Licenses for the county of interest.

Next, click on "All FCC Licenses" and you will see the FCC public service licenses in that county.

The link above will provide a list of GA freqs in Gordon County.

Happy Scanning!!

Ga Dnr

I have heard DNR officers on our county vhf radios. Often if they need to run a tag or if they stop a vehicle, they will contact Troup Co 911 on Troup Sheriff channel. Same in Meriwether County recently.

DNR / DNR traffic will either be on Nextel, So-Link, or DNR frequencies.

Hope this helps....
