Looking for help

I’m having trouble with a maratrac and don’t know enough to fix it hoping to find someone local to the Rowan/iredell area who may know more about the topic to help in person as I just don’t know what I’m doing at this point. My issue is even after testing my pins out from the drawer unit none of my three heads will display anything I can hear the drawer unit clicking when moving the on/off switch but nothing more no lights or sounds. I have the orange/green/and red to power and black to ground but still nothing. I think it’s a board issue in the heads (advanced head) but still I just don’t know enough

You could also have a look at the Maratrac search results in the forums.

That’s part of my issue is I’ve tried and although people are very knowledgeable here I just don’t know enough about the hobby to do the fixes I’m suggested, I do vehicle upfit work specifically lighting I don’t touch radios besides wiring hot and ground and miscellaneous

It's stretching my memory a bit as it has been several years since messing with a Maratrac but I seem to remember having one that mistakenly had a Syntor X9000 head plugged in to the Maratrac body and it fried something in the transceiver. I think some of the on/off circuitry was un-phased but it killed the sb9600 or some other control circuitry rendering it 10-7. It was repairable with the boneyard of parts we had available at the time but mismatching the control head let the magic smoke out.

A thorough visual inspection of the components on the transceiver board where the control cable connects and the control heads themselves would definitely be a good troubleshooting starting point.
