Looking for narrowband mobile radios

Not sure if this is the correct forum or not (please move if need be). Anyway, I recently purchased a Icom V-8000 VHF radio and had it tweaked for narrowband and it cannot be approved by the Gov. So, I need a real mobile radio for narrowband. Does anyone have any makes/models suggestions? I'm not having any luck on the search engines.

Pretty much all commercial Part 90 certified radios manufactured since about 2000 should be narrowband capable, Motorola, Harris, Icom, Vertex, Kenwood, etc. Stay away from Ham rigs as you have already found out.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression radios manufactured aver 97 or 98 had to be NB compliant.

All Part-90 certified radios, yes. The ham radio that the OP stated in their original post isn't Part-90 certified so it didn't need to be. The OP appears to indicate that they now understand that their operation needs to use a Part-90 certified radio, which is why they're asking the question for this post.
