Once upon a time I had Trunk88 setup for San Diego County & City Motorola systems and was a happy scanner. Moved to S. Carolina (before new San Diego system implemented) & Palmetto800 is Apco P2 & I guess T88 will not decode the control channel (SlicerWizard...Anything in the works?). Are there any decoders out there that look reasonably close with same display (all transmissions occurring on the system at any one time, with customizable colors, talkgroups, etc) so I dont have to download & check them all out, as many do not have screenshots on their websites???

SDRTrrunk, DSDPlus, OP25 and maybe DSD-FME

This forum is full of discussions about all of those

All channels on the system were displayed as decoded, all active transmissions were displayed (sender & recipient), and the one with the highest priority that I set up was sent to my scanner and the channel was changed to that transmission frequency.

I don't know of any currently supported programs can control a scanner's tuning.

All channels on the system were displayed as decoded, all active transmissions were displayed (sender & recipient), and the one with the highest priority that I set up (or selected real time) was sent to my scanner and the channel was changed to that transmission frequency. This is the display I'm chasing. I want to be able to set custom colors and priorities for each slothful, corrupt bureaucratic agency displayed (Police, Fire, EMT & other first responders exempted; DOJ, FBI, CIA, BATF, and most other feds included). I'm not interested in waterfalls, system analysis, multi framed, or flat, mono displays.

The programs you would look at have already been listed. It's up to you to decide if you can use them to "send data to a scanner and change the transmission frequency" or if they support using an audio input in the first place. Some of them require you to use an SDR device, like an RTL dongle, AIrspy, RSP.

At this point you just need to start looking at the mentioned programs to see if any of them fit your needs. And if none of them do, you are SOL and will need to change the way you do things in the modern age.

Looks like something I would like to play with. A quick look though, this stuff is going on 7 years old and for 32 bit systems.
May not run on my super PC. guess my old XP machine will go back on the desk.
I use DSD+ fastlane and it keeps log files of all your information displayed by Trunk88.

The original DOS trunking programs (Trunker and its variants) and scanner-specific software like TRUNK88 and another I can't recall for the PRO-2096 provided full color displays of the traffic, including the ability to color RIDs and UIDs according to whatever parameters the user chose. All of that was lost in the transition to Windows.

I should have also mentioned the transition to P25. But where are your examples of full color Windows-based EDACS and LTR trackers?

Here are some screenshots of Unitrunker 2.1-106 in action decoding the Delaware SmartZone (P16) system. If you look at the Radio panel, you can see it does LTR and EDACS in this version, although they are not enabled for this system obviously. Object colors - including RIDs - are customizable, and things can blink, etc. - I just don't need extensive eye candy.

Yeah, I know it's up to me. I was just hoping there was a definitive answer to my request without my having to load each one & go through the learning curve just to find it didn't float my boat. Sad to see doing things in the "modern age" is a regression rather than an improvement. Kinda like the green new steal...
