Looking for new frequencies today !

Obama is here and boy is it busy ! Wandering if anybody has heard anything new ?

Hi scannerbum, I was listening to it all and wasn't able to come up with too much new. I heard a new talkgroup on the Springfield trs. Talkgroup 160 was being used downtown. It was called "ops 2". Ops 1 is talkgroup 144 I believe. Both are rarely used. 154.71 was somewhat active. It is the freq. used at the governor's mansion. I heard "wheels down" on this freq. about 9:15 local time when the senator's plane landed. Also heard various other comm's on it. Heard some encrypted stuff on 165.2125. Most activity was on the city's trs. I searched 406-420 and 163-170 without much luck.

Also heard what appeared to be encrypted stuff on the starcom on my pro-96. Talkgroup 13068 and 13067 were unreadable, (garbled).

Also heard some misc. stuff on 154.965 which is the airport police/fire freq. (faa)

Thanks for responding .......... I to noticed city ops being used Ive never heard anything on there before . Like you said not much else. I had to work today so I didnt get to search quite the way I wanted to. Im glad I didnt miss much.
