Looking for Opa Locka PD freq

Can any one tell me what frequency the Opa Locka Police Dept. use when not on the MDPD talk group.

I`ve got this frequency from an old website,it may be good or not,but the guy that used to run the website moved away from Dade County and no longer maintains up to date info.All you can do is try it out,good luck!

Why do you think they go elsewhere? They are on the trunk system.

Unless you know something I don`t,each munincipality has their own radio frequencies.When they want to talk to each other,i.e.;car to car,etc.,they bypass the County`s EDACS system.While not,they are on MDPD dispatch.

There are muncipal channels. They do not have two radios on their belt.
Why are you believing that they are "bypassing" the trunk system? Prior to the trunk system they were on VHF. :wink:

They don`t have to have 2 radios on their belts.When I was a cop with MDPD back in 1989,I was in the Intracoastal Station.Back then,MDPD was in VHF High.Our station had radios able to communicate both in VHF and the new 800 Mhz system, they were testing them for implementation in the entire department.I do not recall exactly what radio model model we had.I knew they were Motorolas,and they were 800 Mhz rigs.Even so,we could communicate with the rest of the department who were on VHF high.

Pinecrest PD,have their own radio system independent of MDPD.They are on MDPD dispatch for their call outs,but they can switch back to VHF for their own car to car or car to station.
