Anyone have up to date information on Ottawa/Allegan county?

The Ottawa EDACS system appears to be analog. I have gotten some snippets of data from etrunk and know that there are 3 systems. 0001, 0002, and 0008 Sys id's. System 0001 has 7 LCN's (that I was able to catch) in Holland.

I have seen the above trunked system frequencies Ottawa, Holland/Zeeland trunked frequencies listed in Ploice Call but no mention of LCN order (or talkgroups) is in the RadioReference database.

Allegan Co. (WQAY719, WQBA263) looks to be a mixture of EDACS simulcast Analog and Provoice is this correct? So is it linked with Ottawa county?

I was able to monitor the State M.P.S.C.S. site 307 at Fennville (WPNT228) with the PRO-96 with no problem.

I also picked up the 858-860.7125 MDC frequencies. These appear to be 9600 baud is this correct?

I don't think I was able to get any of the Consumers Energy systems, but I don't know what the nearest site would be to Ottawa/Allegan county.

If you can run etrunker, then you've got the hardest part out of the way! :)

This is the fun part of scanning, discovery of unknown systems. EDACS LCN's can be a bear to unravel but it can be done. Be sure to submit what you learn on the LCN's to the RRDB.

Most MDC's are 19.6k.

Start digging through the FCC records and plot all of CE's transmitter locations via the lat/longs and that will give you a good framwork from which to work with.

HTH's and have fun! :)

Here is what I have from the last trip to Holland using etrunk:
System 0001 LCN 01 857.9375 Control channel. Etrunk displayed 7 LCN's overnight. The frequency and LCN match the Allegan county system south of Holland. Only 4 talkgroups were reported: (AFS) 00-021, 00-041, 15-130, and 15-131. The last two are close to the talkgroups list for Allegan, but not an exact match: http://radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=1464

The FCC ID listed on RadioReference is: WQAY719, Police Call 2005 lists the system as WPPF573 :!:

System 0002 LCN 01 858.2625 Control channel and has 3 LCN's reported. (LCN's 1,2, and 3) Talkgroups: (AFS) 00-021, 15-130, and 15-131. So this looks like a simulcast of system 0001.

System 0008 LCN 01 859.8125 Control Channel
LCN 12 855.6375

System 0008 has 5 LCN's reported: 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and the talkgroups are: (AFS) 00-101, 00-141, 01-120, 02-056, 02-057, 02-090, 02-133, 04-051, 04-052, 04-053, 04-057, 04-064, 04-073, 09-001, 09-003, 09-005, 09-007, 09-011, 09-013, 09-016, 10-045, 10-093, 15-105, 15-111, 15-112.

Maybe I'll find out more from the local RadioShack or the ham repeater when I go back to visit
:p

Are you in Texas or Michigan? (just looking at your Location under your Avatar)

Anyone know if Allegan is using Provoice yet  Looks like the talkgroups have been updated in the database, but the system information looks like 2002 :?: :!: :?:
