Looking for parts help

Hey all, I'm hoping someone can help me here. I've aquired a pro-2039 that looks like it's been dropped. The squelch knob has broken right off the PCB and I need a replacement. The info I have gotten from the detailed parts list is this: 10983252 POT,SQUELCH 10KC PC0009 The first # is the cat # and the second is National Parts #. I'm in Canada and the RS guy here says he has no corresponding numbers to match that. Where can I get this part from to ship to me in Canada or does someone know of a # I can use for the Canadian RS? I have contacted National parts and they are looking into it for me, but if they can't get it where do I got them?

You want a 10k linear taper pot/PC mount, with a shaft at least as long as the original one. (You can cut it if it's too long, you can't stretch it if it's too short.) There's nothing magic about a squelch control.

271-1715 might do if you don't mind adapting the mounting (you'll have to mount it on a bracket or the front panel, or wire it in with solid wire). Or DigiKey CT2205-ND.

As a last resort, call a RS company store in the US and see if they can order one shipped to you.

Got a call from National Parts today, they said they can send me what I need. 2 Week backorder though Thanks for your help..
