Hi,

I was wondering if anyone might know the frequency for the Solano Community College PD.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

Station81FirstAlarm - Thanks. I will try that tonight and report back what I find.

bballjh - Your link didn't take me anywhere--I got an error message from the ULS application. However, thanks for cluing me into the ULS search. I was able to find 13 freq's licensed to Solano Community College, if I'm reading the ULS results right. (None of them are 154.540 FYI.) I will let you know if I get any traffic on the ones I am able to monitor.

KMA, if Rob comes back with a favorable report on the freq. I would be happy to submit it. I do need to be more of a contributor. I just saw the request, and checked to see if it was in my Government Radio Systems book. Guess we'll see if its a good freq.

I listened to 154.54 and 451.6625 (licensed to SCC) for about 30 minutes tonight in the parking lot of the college. There was no traffic. It could be that they don't talk that much. I'll try again tomorrow.

Still no luck on either of those frequencies after about an hour of listening from the parking lot today (I had a reason to be there.) Whether they don't use their radios much or whether those frequencies are no good, I can't say. I think we can hold off on putting them in the database, unless someone else can verify.

Good info. Who knows, honestly, I didn't even know that SCC had their own police. I pulled the frequency from the book Government Radio Systems. I'm at work, so I don't have the author or year, but I believe the books are out of production.

I haven't seen one of those in many years. Mine dates back to 1984. Police Call is out of print and it's publisher died a couple of years ago. We are limited to tis website and the FCC records current information...

Mine book is circa 2004. I ordered it from Scanners Unlimited which I believe closed up shop a year or two ago. I do not know who may carry this book anymore. It was a great resource.

Food for Thought

Solano SO's webpage asserts that they dispatch for Solano CCD Police. On several lists '24' appears to be the identifier given Solano CCD Police.

With 3 cops and a COP I doubt you will hear much- no body to talk to. Based on their webpage, it seems plausible that the coppers carry cell phones as they all seem to have two extensions assigned to each- one might be a forward to a nextel or cell phone.

With a similar mission and not far away, all of the Contra Costa CCD's have their own campus channel and but also contract with a local PD for dispatch services & PIN/CLETS/NCIC access.

With CCCCD (coincidentally also '24 prefix) (LMC= Pittsburg 24x/y/z80, DVC w/Pleasant Hill PD 24x/y/z70's, and CCC w/ Richmond PD) 24x/y/z60..Q's & P's were police aides...it was my understanding from someone who worked at both CCCCD and SCCD that a similar arrangement existed at Solano... long time ago might still be valid.

There was a broken link on a previously posted so here are some additional leads.
ULS License - Industrial/Business Pool, Conventional License - WQDE439 - SOLANO COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Frequencies Summary

Happy Hunting,

Way to go, Commstar.

Thanks for all the info. I'll keep my ears open for 24-units on Solano Co SO.
