looking for some help

I appologize if this seems inappropriate, but I am at the end of my rope and I am just trying to do a good turn for another human.
I work in a TV newsroom. Today I got a call from a woman who lost her daughter and granddaughter in a car accident in Oklahoma lats night. The bodies are in Arkansas now where the daughter was living. The mother , here in Michigan, is trying to get the bodies home but can't afford it. I am not interested in this as a TV story but I sure would like to help these folks out. They sre planning to drive the bodies home in the bed of a pick - up , which is not illeagal, but is highly inappropriate. I have been on the phone for several hours and the womans story all checks out. United Way, Salvation Army and Red Cross can not help out. I was hoping that since wide variety of people read this board that someone might have a suggestion as to where we can go to look for funds for this poor family.

Since you work in the news industry, would you not be able to talk with someone in your industry that would be able to bring this story to the public eye? If it is indeed lagit, then perhaps someone you work with would be willing to try and setup an account that people could donate if they are able.
