• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

Taxi Codes

You can go to the database, choose richland (or whatever county you want) go to the very bottom of the page and you'll see display all fcc licences in --- county. At the top of that page you can turn options on and off. If youre looking for taxis you will need both buis options on. They may be listed under the name of the taxi company or under the name of a holding company or owner. Sometimes you can tell by clicking on the name and seeing where the registered address is at on the map. Hope you find what you are looking for.

yes, there are many, pull out an old police call or betty bearcat book if you have one, it'll list most of them, or better yet a beyond police call book...

alot of the busn groups though are using frs/gmrs so listen up on those and the 455 - 470mhz groups. some law enforcement andlots of busn in that group, like city buses, checker yellow cab (in cayce) and others...
