Looking to purchase Low Band VHF antennas for use with 39.0 to 42.0 mhz range.. along the line s of MLB 3001 whip or MLB 3400

Any info would be appreciated... Thanks ... Retiredtrooper

Kreco makes low band coaxial antennas. Arrow will custom make ground planes for any frequency. Do not use a discone!

A 1/4 wave whip like the MLB3001 or 3400 will not cover that much range, you need a broad band version like the Laird WPC39SOB-001 which covers 39 to 46MHz continuous with no tuning. They are pricy new but you can get surplus used CHP antennas off Ebay a little cheaper.
