Looking to purchase a good all around wide band base scanner antenna

I am looking to purchase a good all around wide band base scanner antenna. I would like to know which ones would be reccomended. There are so many styles and it is confusing as to which one to purchase. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks !

The most common wideband base scanner antennas are the Discone antennas.There are other wideband antennas that are not Discones,but still cover about the same freqs as they do.

I have the Diamond D-130J and its a good antenna.I also heard that the Antenna Craft ST2 is a good scanner antenna to but its made less sturdy then the D-130J.
