Can anyone point me to a parts supply house or have any information on a suitable aftermarket antenna for this radio? I cannot remember how long the extended length was, but the antenna including the short female mount was approximately 9.5-9.75" long retracted. I recall perhaps 4 or 5 extension lengths. Not sure.

I haven't specifically searched for replacement antennas at these companies, but my favorite go-to parts places are Jameco, Digi-Key, Newark, and Mouser. Also I've seen such antennas at hamfests.

I've got a Sangean ATS-803A. I know, different model from the Sangean/Radio shack model you have.

But I'd expect there to be some similarities….
For the 803:
Collapsed length 245mm total.
Extended length 1384mm total.
7 segments.
Bottom section is 8mm diameter.

The base "tongue" is 2mm wide.
The screw that goes through it is a 2.5mm x 0.45mm thread pitch. 4.5mm in length.

From your information, the tongue width, bottom section diameter and the collapsed length, it appears likely to be the same antenna. The Radio Shack was also sold as a Sangean ATS-818
Do you have any idea if Sangean has a parts business currently?

No idea.

I'm sure Sangean isn't in the antenna making business. I suspect they buy them from someone else.

If an exact match isn't found, remember that you can remove the rear panel from the radio and install a completely new antenna, including the base/swivel.

If it was me, I'd probably try and salvage one from and old radio, tv rabbit ears, etc.

According to the RS service manual, it is Sangean part number 3606301.
