Can anyone confirm that Lorain PD went digital?
I heard from the grapevine that it went live on 2-20-14.

Just one conventional P25 channel.

I heard Amherst Police and Lorain County Sheriff were also going P25, anyone know when these systems are going on line? SD

Have not seen or head any news on either except the recent RR post about LCSO. Did hear 2 LCSO guys chatting on borrowed MARCS radios wishing they could keep them. Neither sounded like they expected new radios soon, They do constantly complain about there current radios.

Just heard Lorain Fire on 154.355 PL 123, same as always loud and clear. SD

Yup. I hear LFD all the time. Course I live there ;c}
I know for certain that at this point in time, while LPD managed to get P25 radios, FD has analog only radios, mostly P1225's or similar, and CDM something or other mobiles. And they haven't had those all that long, maybe 4-5 years.
