Los Angeles Co Lifeguards

Noticed in the new narrowbanded LACoFD freqs, there are a number of lifeguard channels. Is the lifeguard section moving/moved to these channels ?

My memory regarding this topic might be incorrect. I think the Baywatch boats were going to remain on low band and the shore units were going to be on VHF-High. All the shore unit frequencies were going to be in the load for L.A. County FD's VHF handhelds. Someone else who follows this more closely can pipe in now.

In essence nothing has changed except VHF got narrowbanded.

Yes boats still utilize the low band frequencies and the on beach ops are still on VHF frequencies.
