Anyone streaming the rose parade / New Year’s Eve COMMS in Pasadena on LARICS system?

I'm not really hearing anything on RICS that I wouldn't otherwise monitor conventionally. So far, all of the Pasadena traffic I've heard is the LASO Emergency Ops channels (EOB, EOB 1,2,3 etc.)

Edit after another hour of monitoring: I am hearing RICS-only content on the LASD EOB Spec Event talkgroups. The Brown, Gold, Green & Red TG's cover certain sections of the parade route.

I wonder if they'll be utilizing any Sites on Wheels since San Gabriel simulcasts are now in service..

pretty sure it’s all RF sites as the coverage up there and most of the county is all turned on including Mirador which sits right above the rose bowl

Site 2 - Oat Mtn might be off the air if anyone can confirm (not picking it up from SFV anymore). North UHF and 700 cover Oat so it's probably the case. That was the last of the OG sites, not counting the sites on wheels.

Is the plan to bring Oat back online? Are they shifting to Saddle Peak?
According to FCC license WRBW282 the sites for North 700 are LACoFD Del Valle Training Center, LADWP at 5/14, Oat, and Loop Canyon. Oat’s a part of North 700 and North UHF if the FCC license puts 2+2 together.

Saddle Peak area would be a part of West 700 & UHF which isn’t live yet. Keep an eye on WRBT645. I think they were doing some changes to the sites over there from what I read but blanking on it now.

Thanks.. I don't have a Phase 2 capable scanner yet, but I've been keeping an eye on LA-RICS updates to see when I need to go get one :)

I am using a Unication G5 UHF-T band 700/800 on LA-RICS and it works wonderful. Very sensitive and it will pickup trunk sites from a good distance. Having the UHF-T band is good because this system is a mixed system and sometimes the UHF band trunk sites receive better than some of the 700 mhz sites depending on where you live

I was reading thru some posts here on LA-RICS and it was said that the lifeguards switched to LA-RICS. I have not heard much except for LACOFD-Dispatch. Are there only certain radio sites they are working on for now? I pretty much listen to the Downtown Simulcast site right now.

I would try South UHF or 700 to see if you have better results.

New site heard about 15 dB above my RTL-SDR's noise floor, from La Mirada, on the evening of 2022-04-09:

Site: 1.66
NAC: 696
Channels:
478.0875 CC
478.2375 scc
478.3875 scc
478.5375 scc

No neighbor sites are being announced, and there was no traffic during my brief capture.
