Does anyone know if 36.50 MHz, VLAW31, and/or Marine 83A are still used by LARTCS? I just saw a document showing 39.46 LLAW1 as the low band frequency.

Have heard radio checks on VHF
As I recall they have monthly radio checks on 3V-5V controlled by LASD SCC.
The June 2020 Cal-IFOG, p. 165, for LA county, shows LARTCS-6U "RX (Output)" of 415.8 and "TX (Input)" of 406.8, which is backwards of the RR database. The rest of that table confirms the meaning of RX and TX as being in relation to the mobile (483 RX, 486 TX). Is the document wrong (it wouldn't be the only error in it)? (These are, of course, not FCC-managed frequencies, so no help from ULS.) I'll note the 2011 Cal-IFOG matches the 2020 doc.Yes the 480 LASD stuff is active daily and available for cities
Tend to hear surveillance on the 800Mhz on a pretty regular basis along with occasional LAFD use.
The Federal interop also regularly heard - sometimes with surveillance other times patches to local agencies around the basin

Yup. I've just heard what sounds like intermod being repeated, followed by a short "tail".Db is correct. 406.8 is output. Hear is almost weekly - mostly surveillance or sometimes patch to another agency frequency.
