Does anyone know if 36.50 MHz, VLAW31, and/or Marine 83A are still used by LARTCS? I just saw a document showing 39.46 LLAW1 as the low band frequency.

According to the 2020 Cal-IFOG, the current LARTCS frequencies are as follows:

39.46 LLAW1

159.180 LARTCS-3V
159.030 LARTCS-4V
159.150 LARTCS-5V

483.5625 LARTC ACC (LASD Access)
483.5875 LARTCS-1U (LASD MA 1)
484.0875 LARTCS-2U (LASD MA 2)
483.7875 LARTCS-3U (LASD MA 3)
484.1375 LARTCS-4U (LASD MA 4)
484.0625 LARTCS-5U (LASD MA 5)
406.8000 LARTCS-6U (Federal Agencies UHF)

851.0125 8CALL90
851.5125 8TAC91
852.0125 8TAC92
852.5125 8TAC93
853.0125 8TAC94

I'd be interested to see if anyone has heard the system active recently, and/or heard any frequencies not listed here.

Yes the 480 LASD stuff is active daily and available for cities
Tend to hear surveillance on the 800Mhz on a pretty regular basis along with occasional LAFD use.
The Federal interop also regularly heard - sometimes with surveillance other times patches to local agencies around the basin
Have heard radio checks on VHF

As I recall they have monthly radio checks on 3V-5V controlled by LASD SCC.

Does anyone know if LASD (480) is converting to LARTCS or to another network? I ask cos as of about 3 days ago, I am no longer receiving South LA Dispatch 12 (483.43750), LASD Lomita Dispatch 7 (484.03750), LASD Santa Clarita Dispatch 5 (482.86250) or L-TAC 2. The rest of the Dispatch freqs come in clear (contywide) as well as a majority of the L-Tac's. I ran an analysis for 24 hours and not a single transmission from those freqs in that timeframe.

As posted prior in the forums, LASD for the last year has been in the process of narrowbanding.
During this period frequencies will be down for a few days. Affected stations will utilize another frequency during the period.

The June 2020 Cal-IFOG, p. 165, for LA county, shows LARTCS-6U "RX (Output)" of 415.8 and "TX (Input)" of 406.8, which is backwards of the RR database. The rest of that table confirms the meaning of RX and TX as being in relation to the mobile (483 RX, 486 TX). Is the document wrong (it wouldn't be the only error in it)? (These are, of course, not FCC-managed frequencies, so no help from ULS.) I'll note the 2011 Cal-IFOG matches the 2020 doc.

Federal UHF stuff is usually +9 MHz on the repeater input, so I would bet on the database being correct and Cal-IFOG being wrong, but I can't say for certain. It would be an easy mistake for someone at CalOES to make if they were looking at the repeater Rx/Tx frequencies.

In the past LACO SD will dispatch out of only a few of their centers, although covering all units.
Just like Angeles Forest will dispatch from an air Freq rather than their normal channe.l

Db is correct. 406.8 is output. Hear is almost weekly - mostly surveillance or sometimes patch to another agency frequency.
Yup. I've just heard what sounds like intermod being repeated, followed by a short "tail".
