Greetings Members, I normally monitor the REMCS North and South morning roll call of Medivac aircraft around 7:30 AM for years now and heard North loud and clear but despite running duplicate receivers never heard the South roll call. Have they changed anything such as statewide reception or any other technical changes that resulted in my loss of reception.

The individual P25 sites (or simulcast cells) only carry TG traffic if a radio is affiliated to that site. Highly unlikely that any Medivac South radios are affiliated with Hunterdon Simulcast or Washington (Site 32) that provided coverage into the OP's location.

During roll call, it sounds like the REMCS dispatcher simul-selects both TG at the same time. If that's the case, you will hear the dispatcher call the south medivacs, but will not hear them reply on the South TG.

Just my guess.

Also, I would not be surprised if Medivac South reception comes and goes in northern NJ.
I would imagine the Northstar and Atlantic Air bases have the capability to monitor South, but not necessarily choose to.

Greetings, I am totally dependent upon the Hunterdon site and never programmed the Washington (Morris County) location. I have great reception from Hunterdon and was stunned to no longer receive the South morning roll call considering it came in loud and clear for years during all 4 seasons.

I live in the North and I'm actively listening to the South channels with no issues.

THANK YOU ALL, this AM heard Medevac Roll Call with REMCS going by the alphabet and not dividing up North units from South units.

REMCS has the ability to combine JEMSTAR North and JEMSTAR South as needed. I've always noticed it depends on the dispatcher at the console as to whether they run through the units together or by region.
