• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

I does make a difference when entering a trunked system. It would help more if you posted this in your state forum, stated what state and system you're looking at and what scanner you have.

Lake co. seems to be mostly conventional.
The link is here:
http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=RR&ctid=1269
the conventional freqs look like this:
Lake, County of []

Frequency Input License Type Tone Description Mode
155.86500 KXE704 M M.E.P.S.S. - Statewide Emergency FM
155.74500 153.90500 WNWV404 RM Emergency Management FM
154.43000 154.01000 WNWR496 RM 118.8 PL Fire - Dispatch FM
154.26500 WPTK329 M Fire - Fireground FM
154.29500 WPTK329 M Fire - DNR Fireground FM
39.82000 KFU224 BM Mutual Aid FM
150.99500 159.06000 KNDN956 RM 173.8 PL Road Commission FM
155.37000 KXE704 B Sheriff - Point-to-Point FM
155.58000 KXE704 BM Sheriff - LEIN FM
155.68500 158.97000 KXE704 RM 110.9 PL Sheriff - 9-1-1 Central Dispatch FM
158.85000 KXE704 MF Tactical FM

I don't know enough about Lake co. to say what MPSCS sites are there or what type of scanner you have to say if you can monitor it.

Those "things" in green are the updates for the last 24 hours:cool: The other ones should appear yellow and are for seven days at least.
Conventional are displayed with all the counties for your home state. There is a link for
trunk systems from your state's page and new updates will also appear in green.
