Loudoun County question

Can anyone tell me why I get garbled transmissions on dispatch and response for Loudoun County Fire?
all other channels come through resonably clear. I am right in the Ashburn area so it would seem I wouldn't have these issues.
Any input would be helpful.

This has been an issue and there are a few posts on the subject. I purchased a cheap type of directional antenna (rubber duck that is on a hinge) from Scanner Masters and if you bend and rotate that a couple of degrees, you may find that solves your problem. In the meantime you can try moving the radio around the house. I find that mine works better in some places than others.
