No... not involved with the FD or county at all.

I live in Ashburn and used to listen to FD but when they went trunked lost 'em...

I have a pro-2052... gonna see if i can load the trunked stuff from this site. But i have to admit I'm pretty clueless about trunked systems and my scanner.

Also, noticed on your feed I seem to be able to get the dispatch but not the units... of course I've only listened for 15 minutes so my data could be very inaccurate.

Busy night for Loudoun and its still early. A medivac about an hour ago for a guy who got hit by a car in Leesburg and two in progress as I type this. I missed the reason for them because I was busy with some programming, until I heard a helo fly by.
Anybody know which medivac has the additional flashing red lights on it like an ambulance? AirCare? I saw one like that a few nights ago. It was loud unlike the Medstar helo.

Brian, what sort of setup are you using for streaming? I need something that will work with Windows '98, at least until I get a new computer.

Fellas,

Im using shoutcast server to stream using my cable connection. I havent really had any problems with it. It also allows you to see how many people are logged in listening and the ip they are coming from. As far as what channels I am broadcasting. I am broadcasting channel 6A which is dispatch only, broadcast on 46.38 mHz. So you should be able to pick that up with your scanner no problem. And you are right, last night was a pretty busy night for duty crew 3 in leesburg. The night before wasnt much better for my duty crew 2.

Try this for programming.

Programming for Trunking E2-800 Motorola

1. Press and hold TRUNK until you hear two beeps, all 20 bank numbers should be flashing.
2. Press the number for the bank you want to program, E2-800 should be
on the display and your bank number should be upper left.
3. If your system is Motorola type II then leave E2-800 in place.
4. Press E, Channel 1 of your bank should appear.
5. Using the numbered keys enter you first frequency,
6. Press E
7. Press up/LIMIT, and enter your second frequency,
8. Press E
9. Repeat step 7 and 8 until all frequencies are entered.
10. When completed press TRUNK twice, your bank should be flashing on the
top left.
11. Press SEARCH,
You should now see ----- on the display until the scanner stops on a
conversation. Then the display will show 5 numbers, which is a Talk group ID.

Programming ID’s
1. Press SCAN
2. Press up/LIMIT (----- should be on the display)
3. Navigate up or down until the number 1 appears on the left and a smaller number 1 is in upper left
4. Using the numbered keys, enter the 5 digit ID
5. Press E
6. Press up/LIMIT
7. Repeat steps 4 and 5 until all known ID’s are entered
Note: after programming 10 ID’s, the number 1 appears on the left again and a number 2 appears in the upper left, this is a new ID sub-bank. The scanner has 5 of these 10 ID sub-banks for a total of 50 ID’s per scan bank

6A is simulcasted on 46.38 Mhz. The trunked system is digital so you'll need a BC250/785/296/796 or RS Pro96.

Freq,

The flyouts last night were for a pedestrian struck (child) in leesburg, an unconcious person, and the one in 11's area was for a head injury. The helo with the extra lights is Aircare 3 i believe.

Frank,

I have done that... and it searched for 4 hours last night... hehehe

Anyway I guess the issue is the 2052 is an analog system vs digital as freqhop (sorry couldn't find your name) suggests...

Well I'm off with the wife to do some Christmas shopping *starts the buy me a new scanner dance*
